We were up early, had breakfast on the top floor of our hotel. Wow, look at the view from the dining room!
On the road again for the day’s adventure. Along the road we saw many cemeteries.
We were driven past many shrimp farms. The shrimp farms have aerators, that have spinning paddle wheels, to increase the oxygen in the ponds. The aerators help the farmers to raise healthy shrimp by giving the shrimp more oxygen and we were told this allows the shrimp to be less stressed and healthier. (And we don’t want stressed shrimp!)
We stopped at Maobitou Park.
We walked out and looked at the rocks.
We were told that the rock looks like a cat’s head. Can you see it?
Next stop was lunch. We ordered these delicious prawns.
We also had shrimp fried rice. Can you see the hundreds of little tiny shrimp? Well maybe there were not hundreds of shrimp, but it sure seemed like there were.
After lunch and down the road we stopped at Chuanfan Rock. Some people say it looks like President Nixon. O.K. so maybe it does!
Our next stop was the most southern tip of Taiwan. The Eluabi Lighthouse.
Longpan Park
Our next hotel, Hotel Royal Chihpen was a beautiful hotel up on a mountain. We had our own spring water bathtub in our room again. We were really getting spoiled having our own spring (mineral) water bathtubs. The baths were very nice!
View from our room. Isn’t that nice!
The grounds of our hotel.
