Oktoberfest at Camp Richardson Resort
It is now October which means Oktoberfest time. In Munich Germany their Oktoberfest lasts 16 to 18 days and they have more than 6 million people attend. Where Drew and I live the Oktoberfests usually last 1 or 2 days.
We had heard about the Oktoberfest at Camp Richardson Resort near South Lake Tahoe from our neighbors Linda and Bob. They go to the Oktoberfest every year at the Camp Richardson Resort.
So Drew and I decided we needed to go check it out and see what we had been missing. As it turned out this was their 25th year of beers, brats, & bears.
You know you are at the right place when you see the huge steins of beer.
And beer they had. Not only did they have many beers to purchase they had beer steins and German food for sale. They also had live German music and dancing.
We had to have some apple strudel.
The Oktoberfest was a lot of fun. People were wearing their lederhosens.
These 3 ladies were really getting into the Oktoberfest spirt. They had their beer, steins, and were decked out in mini Tyrolean hats.
The Oktoberfest is geared for the whole family.
They had a pumpkin patch for the kids.
A rock climbing wall that Drew tried. He said that it was a lot of fun.
I had to buy some kettle popcorn from Mr. Kernel. He makes some of the best kettle popcorn around!
We had fun! Can’t wait until next year!
